Dr Katie Miles
Katie is a glaciologist and Lecturer in Physical Geography at Lancaster University. She specialises in field measurements obtained through hot water drilled ice boreholes, such as ice temperature and structure. Katie has conducted three field seasons to Antarctic ice shelves, as well as multiple field seasons to Nepal and within Europe. Her research currently focuses on understanding the properties of Antarctic ice shelf suture zones.
